  • OPENice32-A900 is a JTAG based emulator for ARM Processors (ARM7/ARM9/ARM10) devices. It supports ARM7TDMI, ARM720T, ARM9TDMI, ARM920T, ARM922T, ARM940T, ARM1020, CDMA & Wireless LAN devices.

  • It also supports processors that run on low voltage (1.8V). By controlling the JTAG clock from 400Khz to 20Mhz, it can debug low speed target processors as well as high speed ones.

  • OPENice32-A900 makes it easy to configure system registers by GUI. Users can finish device configuration by just setting register values in the SMU setting window.

  • It is connected to PC via USB or Ethernet port as well as Serial port. It can download codes at 190Kbytes/sec. It is possible to download into Flash ROM so that devices that are operated by Flash directly such as Qualcom chips for CDMA can be debugged. If Flash ROM stores data, debugging is possible by loading debug information only.

  • It supports real time watchpoint by setting the proper program breakpoint condition into Embedded ICE macrocell of ARM CPU directly.

  • It can write data to the Flash Memory of the target system at high-speed. Users can program many images and flashes concurrently. It is also possible to write check sum and length. With these functions, users can increase the efficiency of product development and mass production.

  • It supports Linux GDB as well as IAR debugger, IAR EWARM, and the ARM debuggers, ARM SDT/ADS. In case of using Linux GDB, users could develop applications more economically.

  • OPENice32-A900 firmware can be upgraded by software without changing any hardware. Users can download the updated firmware from the AIJI System web site at any time.

Features

Support a variety of ARM cores
ARM7TDMI, ARM720T, ARM9TDMI, ARM920T, ARM922T, ARM940T, ARM1020 are supported.

Moreover, it can emulate the processor run on low voltage (1.8V). It also supports CDMA and Wireless devices.

Non-intrusive
 It almost does not interfere in a target system because it debugs a system using the debugging block in the target processor. Therefore, it can debug the system with minimizing the speed reduction of target processor.

User-friendly GUI SMU setting
If there is no boot ROM or system initialization is needed, a user should set system registers manually.
Normally the user should open a file to set them up. It is not convenient way for the user. OPENice32-A900 makes it easy to configure system registers by providing device files and a SMU setting window. The user can finish system initialization by just forcing register setting values in the SMU setting window.

High speed downloading
It is connected to PC's USB or Ethernet port. So code can be downloaded to target system up to 190Kbps.

Flash downloading & debugging
OPENice32-A900 downloads and debugs an image to Flash ROM as well as RAM.

Support S/W and H/W breakpoint
It supports hardware breakpoint and software breakpoint.

Writing & reading data to SFR
It can write/read data to/from System Register (SFR) of Samsung S3C9PB.

On-board programming
It can write data to the flash memory of target system. It can write four images to four devices at once. As a result, it increases the production efficiency.

Support ARM SDT/ADS and Linux GDB
It supports Linux GDB as well as the ARM SDT/ARM ADS. IAR EWARM. In case of using Linux GDB, a user can develop his application more economically.

Convenient and rapid firmware upgrade
OPENice32-A900 firmware can be upgraded by software without any hardware changes. Users can download the updated firmware from the AIJI System web site any time.
